L'Eroica is one of the most fascinating and original cycling races in the world. It takes place every year in early October in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, with the start and finish in Gaiole in Chianti, at the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region. Established in 1997 as a celebration of old-fashioned cycling, L'Eroica has become an iconic event that attracts thousands of participants from around the world, passionate about cycling, history, and nature.

What makes L'Eroica unique is its vintage spirit: cyclists participate with classic bicycles, built before 1987, and wear woolen clothing reminiscent of the heroic days of cycling. The race winds through the white roads of Tuscany, following scenic and challenging routes through the Chianti hills, the Crete Senesi, and the Val d'Orcia. Participants can choose from different routes, ranging from 46 km to the longest route of 209 km, all featuring dirt roads, tough climbs, and breathtaking landscapes.
