The olive oil and wine

The owners cultivate their own olive grove in Tuscany, between Siena and Florence among the famous vineyards of the Chianti Classico hills (Chianti Classico wine), at 450 mts altitude.

The property has 20 ha land with about 1500 olive trees. Position and height assure the ripening of a precious quality of olives which are hand picked ripe in late fall. This unfiltered, herbaceous tasting olive oil of excellent quality and low acid level is derived by simply squeezing the crushed olives.

The owners invite you to visit their propriety in Castellina in Chianti. The farmhouse has also three fine apartments for rent.

“Die Eigentümer sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten die Wohnung Il Melo. Jede Wohnung hat einen eigenen Garten, der von den anderen mit Büschen getrennt ist. So ist man ungestört. Die kleine Küche war gut ausgestattet, das Bett sehr weich, aber bequem. Es ist allerdings nur ca. 120 cm breit. Der große Pool ist wirklich toll und da es insgesamt nur 3 Wohnungen gibt, hat man ihn quasi für sich. Zur Schotterpiste, die zum Gut führt: Man muss auf dieser ca. 5 Minuten ab der Abzweigung von der Straße von Casellina nach Poggibonsi fahren. Die Piste ist gut zu befahren. Wir hatten mit unserem Mietwagen keine Probleme! Und der Vorteil der Abgeschiedenheit ist, dass es wirklich sehr ruhig ist!”
