The b&b was once a farmhouse part of a larger group of homes in the possesion of a single landlord, whose villa in Vitignano showcases a tower that can be dated back to 1000 DC. Located along the Roman road called Cassia Adrianea, the shortes way between Florence and acquaviva (130 km), it allowed travellers to avoid routing through Arezzo or Siena in addition to the steep hills of the Valdarno and chianti areas. The hamlet of Vitignano is very closed to the the b&b. Opening the windows facing south one admires a spectacular landscape comprising the villa and medieval tower of Vitignano, in addition to woodlands and vineyards, a Chianti “trademark”. A few steps in communal court give access to the large living area, surmounted by a steel and glass mezzanine. through the white helicoidal winding staircase one rises to the top floor of the living area, where there is one of the three bedrooms with bathroom. From atop one appreciates the particular choice of rustic materials respecting the true nature of the place, like large spotted travertine tiles and planed oak planks. On the ground floor are the two other ensuite bedrooms. One of the two develops on two floors, with the bathroom on the mezzanine accessed through a corten steel staircase. In the living area is a large refrigerator and a sound system Bose SoundTouch 20 on which you can also listen to the music of your Smartphone. Each room is unique and has a private bathroom with toilet, sink, shower, bidet, hairdryer, set of towels and toiletries. The floor of the rooms is in parquet, while the walls of the bathroom are in stone: the characteristic Tuscan travertine. Services: full bedroom linen set, digital led tv, heating, AC, parking and breakfast. In the living area you will find a large chilled bar. Breakfast: we offer buffet breakfast in both Italian and continental style, complete with: espresso coffee, American coffee, cappuccino, chocolate, milk, tea, herbal teas, croissants, brioches, plum cakes, pies, cereals, biscuits, rusks, bread, butter, jam, Nutella, water, fruit juice and yogurt.
