In fact, this region is rich in products of excellence that, thanks to their uniqueness, have obtained the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) and IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) brands. Bread, oil, cured meats and cheeses

The first excellence of Tuscany is certainly oil . Here are produced extra virgin olive oil Tuscan PGI , extra virgin olive oil Chianti Classico DOP , extra virgin olive oil Lucca DOP , extra virgin olive oil Terre di Siena PDO and extra virgin olive oil Seggiano DOP .

Along with the oil you can not miss another excellence of the Tuscan tables, the Tuscan Bread PDO , totally without salt. While the Cantucci PGI , famous biscuits to be served with a glass of vinsanto, are produced throughout Tuscany.

Another product of excellence of Garfagnana is IGP spelled. In Valdinievole, instead, the Fagiolo di Sorana PGI is grown and in Pontremoli the Borgotaro Fungo PGI, while in the Massa Carrara area the precious honey of Lunigiana PDO is produced. Finally, among the spices, we mention the DOP saffron of San Gimignano .
