Not far from the property there are some of the most beautiful places in eastern Sicily, among which you can schedule excursions.
If you’re looking for a sun and sea holiday, you will have the option to choose among the white sands of the Playa of Catania, Acireale cliff of volcanic rocks or pebbles in the mouth of the river Alcantara.
Along the coast you can also visit the nature reserves Simeto, Fiumefreddo, Vendicari, a true paradise for birdwatchers. Mountain lovers will be excited to wake up each day in the shadow of Europe’s largest volcano, to visit the extraordinary Etna Natural Park and the numerous and picturesque paths, through forests and lava flows.
Among a lot of inland towns, you will surely find a patronal fest or a festival with local products. Only a few kilometres away is Taormina, cultural and fashion centre of international standing. For lovers of nightlife and gastronomy we suggest a visit to Catania: at nightfall its elegant baroque streets become pedestrian zones where crowds of young people of Catania and tourists mingle among restaurants and diners to enjoy a plate of pasta alla norma and peppered mussels, pub for a glass of wine while listening to live music or an outdoor kiosk for a lemon soda and salt, and eventually in pastry for a cannoli with ricotta.
Similarly the neighbouring provinces preserve treasures of beauty and culture to be discovered, such as the baroque centres of Syracuse, Noto, Ragusa and Modica, and the archaeological sites of Piazza Armerina, Agrigento and Morgantina .
