This farmhouse is located on the hills of Sant'Alessio, 4 km from Lucca and 25 km from the sea of Versilia, in an excellent panoramic position, in Via della Pieve S. Stefano which is part of the "Strada del Vino" itinerary.

The renovation of the old farmhouse was recently completed, which has preserved the rural atmosphere of its origins. Five rooms with private bathroom and other rooms for common use by guests have been created: reception room, reading and relaxation room, kitchen with oven for breakfasts prepared by Caterina.

The furnishings of all rooms respect the Lucca rustic style. In the various common areas are exhibited ancient tools for the processing of wine and fields.

The management of the company is family and is carried out by the current tenant Paolo assisted by his wife Caterina. The hospitality they offer is simple but very friendly and comfortable.

Guests can spend peaceful holidays with pleasant walks in the surroundings rich in woods, ancient villas and farms. Mountain bikes can be hired for excursions to the surrounding areas or to reach the nearby River Park.

The farm extends over 8 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and vegetables typical of Lucca agriculture.

Vines have been cultivated on this farm for several centuries, also demonstrated by some ancient cadastral maps and old tools found for their own production. For the fertility of the soil and for the well-being of the plants, biodynamic preparations and herbal teas are used. All processes, from pruning to harvest, are done personally and by hand.

The wines produced are the IGT TOSCANA ROSSO "Chiesino", produced largely from Sangiovese and Canaiolo, and in a small percentage from Merlot and Syrah and the IGT TOSCANA BIANCO "Chiesino" which is produced with 2/3 of Vermentino grapes. and 1/3 of Trebbiano Toscano grapes.

For some years the farm has become an extra virgin olive oil producer. The processing methods, with particular regard to harvesting and pressing, ensure that this oil is appreciated in all its qualities, making it a healthy and genuine product.

The vegetables grown are typical of the area: Canestrino tomato, Lucca onion, courgette and arberello, black cabbage, various salads and, of course, the cannellino bean, which has been the driving product of the company for many decades.

In the garden of the farmhouse there is a small herb garden, suggestive in both colors and scents.
Important is the small orchard where some endangered plants have been planted, including the apple-courgette and the Casciana apple. Paolo and Caterina are waiting for you in their home, happy to be able to personally tell you about the birth and development of this small company, which they are taking care of with the love for the land and nature transmitted to them by those who preceded them.
