Whole property: Villa Bellaria

From Lucignano along a characteristic road between the hills that form a natural division between the Valdichiana Aretina and the Sienese one, we find this 100-hectare Agriturismo belonging to the same family for several generations.
Paola and Susanna, who currently manage the company, started over 10 years ago to modernize it with a greater variety of productions and a lower environmental impact. In this process, the transition to organic farming was an almost obligatory choice, lived not as a return to the ancient, but as the natural evolution of thought and practice to save our land from the risk of sterility in which agriculture conventional was bringing them and not to endanger our lives and those who consumed our products.
Currently the farm cultivates 11 hectares of Chianti and Igt vineyards and 2 hectares of olive grove, in the arable land we produce cereals, legumes and vegetables. In the project of modernization and diversification, the development of agritourism could not be lacking.
We offer a Villa located on a hill covered by olive trees that enjoys a picturesque view of the poignant views of this land: features terraces of olive trees and woods still wild. The villa has been recently renovated to offer our guests a pleasant home full of comfort and well-being, without forgetting respect for nature, applying solutions with low environmental impact. The villa has in fact the ventilated roof, solar panels that heat the water, double water system for drinking water and rainwater recovery, a photovoltaic system that produces electricity for all the needs of the house, including the air conditioning in summer and heating in winter. It is ideal for those who want to spend a relaxing holiday in the countryside, but also for those who have cultural and tourist needs.
Lucignano, which is only 2 km away, is a beautiful medieval village with a characteristic and unique oval plant, in its concentric streets every corner is worth a visit and a photo. The small museum is full of precious objects, and you can visit the splendid fourteenth-century church of S. Francesco, with the frescoes by Bartolo di Fredi. It is also happily located close to the main roads and railways that connect, in a short time, to the most important art cities of central Italy.
