Wine Cellar

Set deep in the beauty of the Iblea countryside, just a few minutes from the golden coastline of Sicily, the Relais is the perfect place where you can taste local products. Naturally, among these, the wine is an indispensable ingredient, considering that the DOC district of 'Eloro & Noto' is famous for both Nero d'Avola and Moscato di Noto.

The cellar in terms of numbers: 30 hectares of vineyards, A yield of 40-80 quintals per hectare, An annual production of 120-130 thousand bottles, Even the land has its own soul, Our philosophy follows the principles of biodynamic agriculture: helping the vines to find a balance between harmony and nature, also the wine expresses the depth of the character of the land in which it is produced. Moreover, we are the first wine cellar in Sicily to have tried to produce DOC wines without adding sulphites.

So, choose Relais and it will seem to you that you are on a holiday farm in Sicily, there has always been such a strong link with the rural reality of this territory. At the restaurant , it will be wonderful to savour the ORGANIC products that have been grown directly in our land, accompanied by DOC Nero d'Avola and Moscato di Noto wines.

“De structuur heeft de allure van een 5 sterren verblijf gekoppeld aan een warme en familiale sfeer. De kamers zijn ruim, héél comfortabel en bijzonder hygienisch. Het restaurant is fantastisch en biedt een héél diverse kaart aan. De chef is duidelijk een topper en de bediening van Antonella is heel professioneel en tegelijkertijd warm, empathisch en attent. Het onthaal van Francesca is eveneens bijzonder professioneel en discreet, maar tegelijkertijd straalt ook zij de warmte. Ook de eigenaar, die quasi dag en nacht aanwzig is staat voortdurend klaar om de gasten te helpen en te informeren over de relais, de prachtige wijnen of de bioproducten van eigen biobedrijf. Wij kijken nu al uit naar ons volgend verblijf in Ispica.”
