In the enchantment of a gentle hill, among the glimpses of the Umbrian countryside, on the border with Tuscany, Cortona and in the immediate vicinity of Lake Trasimeno, overlook the farmhouses of this charming Agriturismo.

The main complex of the farmhouse is the structure called Il Convento. Founded in the 15th century by the Franciscan order of Friars Minor, it was one of the most important religious centers in the Trasimeno area. It is located on a wooded and uncontaminated hill, under Mount Pietrarvella, from which it is possible to enjoy a splendid view of Lake Trasimeno and the surrounding mountains, with glimpses of the ancient medieval village of Paciano (1.5 km distance) and that of Panicale.
The agritourism is located in the center of a completely wooded property of about 18-20 hectares, part of which (about a square mile) is surrounded by a boundary wall that once delimited the enclosure. The complex was abandoned in the Napoleonic era and, subsequently, inhabited by peasants, it was used for agricultural storage. The renovation, which took place in 2004, was carried out in such a way as to highlight the rebuilt (plastered) part and leave the existing stone one unchanged. The complex is entirely bound by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.

The convent consists of:

Seven luxury apartments, each named after a friar, have a lift, large parking spaces that can be used by both the owner and guests, a barbecue and a beautiful park where it is possible to retrace the famous walks of the friars.
A large hall (formerly the friars' refectory), with a large 15th century fireplace and ancient original trusses from 1565, which can also be used as a conference room or meeting dedicated to wellness or gastronomy.
A large kitchen with fireplace, fully equipped, usable only on request.
The cloister of the former convent, which can be used for outdoor ceremonies, aperitifs and buffets.
Connected to the cloister, the ex-church now deconsecrated, intact from an architectural point of view but equipped for weddings and meetings

The swimming pool with hydromassage, equipped with all comforts and services, is immersed in a green area and surrounded by woods, and enjoys a wonderful view of Lake Trasimeno and the surrounding areas.

Due to its location, space and equipment, the farmhouse is the ideal place to organize conferences and meetings because it has all the services suitable for the perfect success of your event.
The large car park, the internal and external equipped areas and the internal cloister complete the equipment of our conference center and offer the possibility of organizing events for small or large groups of people. In addition to the great medieval hall, the structure offers apartments and individual villas for the accommodation of guests and spaces for catering and outdoor refreshments.
The former convent, originally from the 15th century, is made up of two buildings divided by the ancient cloister with a characteristic Renaissance well in sandstone. The first building is intended for agritourism activities and contains, in addition to the apartments, a large equipped kitchen, ideal for gastronomic meetings and typical Umbrian and Tuscan cooking courses, plus numerous rooms of different capacities.
The cloister divides the convent from the former church, now deconsecrated, which has remained unchanged from an architectural point of view but equipped with all modern equipment. Ample parking and a large swimming pool complete the facilities and make Il Convento suitable for hosting meetings, gastronomic events, weddings and parties in general.

Getting married in Umbria
At the Agriturismo it is possible to celebrate a civil wedding with a ceremony authorized by the Municipality of Paciano and valid in all respects as a civil wedding in Italy
The Convent and the agritourism offer all the services necessary for the perfect success of your wedding in a single, convenient location. A unique context that can offer maximum privacy to guests who can stay directly in the numerous possibilities (apartments, farmhouses, rooms) offered by the structure.

Gastronomy and Cooking Classes
Umbrian cuisine is characterized by dishes, ingredients and cooking techniques that still recall the ancient medieval traditions. Many of the typical dishes have remained unchanged for centuries, still cooked on a spit, grilled or "testo" as was the custom in kitchens equipped with large fireplaces in medieval castles. In the local gastronomic traditions the use of extra-virgin olive oil prevails, which our company produces directly. Also recommended are the fish recipes from Lake Trasimeno, which can be tasted in a few select restaurants in the area.
The large kitchen with fireplace, which brings to mind medieval atmospheres, is fully equipped and can be used for organizing cooking classes and guided tastings of wines and typical local products. The structure does not directly provide catering services, but on request it is possible to provide catering services or home chefs, for business lunches and coffee breaks during meetings and conferences.
