Enter through the ancient doorway and let yourself be wrap up by a magical atmosphere, décor drapery and colors that back in time. Restored with love and passion, the historial House has brought to new light and splendor this old building that, with his lounges, the rich library and the little but lovely museum on rural life, is a real jam from XVIIIth Century.

The Villa is located in the ancient village of Castelnuovo Magra most famous stronghold of Lunigiana; slender and powerful towers of the castle built in 1273-74 by Henry from Fucecchio bishop of Luni, still dominate the town. 

Castelnuovo has a beautiful church whose architecture closely affected by the lines that Filippo Brunelleschi gave to the churches of Santo Spirito and San Lorenzo in Florence. The temple houses many marble statues of four-sixteenth-century marble workers due to the Florentine and Sienese inspiration.

“Manuel and his family are gracious hosts. His home has the look and feel of the well-appointed family home that it is. Beautiful terrace for a generous breakfast. There is no food to speak of (one small bar) in Castelnuovo di Magra but Manuel directed us to an excellent restaurant in the next town over where he made our reservations and the food was terrific. The tower in Castelnuovo di Magra has a black and white photography exhibit through Oct that is worth the price of admission.”
