The Castle is a medieval fortress dating back to the 11th century, built for the sighting of enemies and the defense of the Chiascio Valley. Kept in good condition, there are 2 towers, some houses and the small church from 1154 which houses frescoes painted between 1200 and 1600.

Recently the castle has been entirely restored and used as an accommodation facility characterized by warm welcome, peace and hospitality. From the tower you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. The area extends for 160 cultivated and wooded hectares with vineyards, olive trees, oak forests, and in which there are also some natural lakes.

Our guests can enjoy long walks along the numerous paths in the natural shade of the woods, where truffles also grow, or cool off in the castle swimming pool or go fishing in the property's lakes or go horseback riding.

Beautiful and famous cities such as Assisi, Gubbio and Perugia are less than 30 minutes away from the castle, Orvieto, Spoleto and Todi are less than an hour away.

The Castle is the ideal destination for a romantic or family holiday, to get away from the problems and stress of everyday life, to visit the most beautiful cities in Umbria and to celebrate events, anniversaries and weddings or for corporate meetings.

The rooms have been renovated with the utmost care and as far as possible using the original materials. All rooms have an enchanting view of the surrounding hills and the Apennines, making the castle an ideal place to relax and immerse yourself in an atmosphere of times gone by. Each room has a luxurious bathroom with shower or bathtub, hairdryer, heating and television.

The swimming pool is open from mid-June to mid-September at a cost of 5 Euros per person, by reservation only. Utilities, sheets, towels and final cleaning included (daily cleaning available on request). Pets accepted at a cost of 20 Euros per stay.

Due to the relative isolation of the castle, at nightfall you can admire a magical blanket of stars that will envelop you far from the light pollution of modern cities.
