Between sea, nature, and historic villages: explore the Maremma
Our residence is strategically located, allowing you to easily reach some of the most fascinating destinations on the Tuscan coast and inland. From coastal landscapes to small medieval towns, the surrounding area offers a wide variety of experiences.
The Puntone di Scarlino Marina
Just a few minutes from the residence is the modern Puntone di Scarlino marina, a hub for sea and boating enthusiasts. The marina is equipped with numerous services, restaurants, and shops and is also the ideal starting point for boat trips to Cala Violina, the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, or the most secluded bays of the Maremma coast.
The seafront promenade is perfect for a sunset stroll or a romantic dinner overlooking the sea. In summer, the marina comes alive with events, markets, and shows involving tourists and residents.
Follonica: Sea, Shopping, and Fun
Just 10 minutes from the Residence, Follonica is one of the liveliest seaside resorts on the Tuscan coast. Its wide, sandy beaches, seaside clubs, and pedestrian promenade make it ideal for families and groups of friends.
The town also offers numerous shopping opportunities, restaurants serving local cuisine, ice cream parlors, and children's play areas. In summer, the calendar of cultural and musical events is particularly rich. Also not to be missed is the MAGMA Museum, which narrates the town's industrial and steelmaking history in an engaging way.
The medieval villages: Scarlino, Vetulonia, and Massa Marittima
The Maremma is a land of villages with authentic charm, where history and tradition are evident at every turn.
Scarlino, perched on a hill overlooking the sea, preserves its castle and ancient walls. The town center is a labyrinth of alleys, shops, and panoramic views.
Vetulonia, further inland, is an ancient Etruscan city home to a fascinating necropolis and an archaeological museum that recounts the area's glorious past.
Massa Marittima, with its majestic cathedral and perfectly preserved historic center, is one of the most beautiful villages in Tuscany. Piazza Garibaldi is the beating heart of the city, surrounded by historic buildings, cafés, and picturesque views.
These villages are easily accessible by car from the Residence and offer a wonderful alternative to the seaside, perfect for a cultural excursion or a traditional Tuscan dinner in a timeless atmosphere.
