Surrounded by pine, oak, chestnut woods and 5 hectares of land brought to light by brambles and now dedicated to vegetables, fruit trees, pasture and flower gardens, the property is located at the end of a narrow road (only for two kilometers, don't worry) in Pavareto, a small perched village located in the Ligurian hinterland of La Spezia, a stone's throw from the famous 5 Terre, the Gulf of Poets, Sestri Levante with its Baia del Silenzio, the exclusive Portofino and the fascinating Apuan Alps.
This Agriturismo is an ideal destination for those who want to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable holiday, far from the summer heat of the cities but close to the most famous Ligurian resorts and beaches, in contact with nature and with the magic of the paths that cross the Valley and its mountains. You will be welcomed by the warmth of the clay and the Azaghi family, pampered by Marco's unforgettable cuisine, refreshed by the beautiful Vara river or its tributaries and with the possibility of making interesting meetings and courses and having alternative life ideas.
An eco-sustainable structure
- 0 pollutants and chemicals in the building materials of the house;
- the house consumes very little energy; a 5 KW heater, in the middle of winter, manages to heat the whole house while maintaining a temperature of about 25 degrees centigrade;
- photovoltaic panels on the roof for electricity production;
- wood stove for cooking and, at the same time, heating the water in the showers, storing it in a 1000 liter puffer;
- thermocompost (heap of fresh twigs chips which, through aerobic fermentation, develops heat) to keep the puffer water at about 60 degrees centigrade, having excellent compost at the end of the cycle, useful for agriculture with little water. This is pending the laws that allow the self-production of methane deriving from the anaerobic fermentation of the same;
- rainwater recovery for sanitation;
- management of vegetable gardens with a biological method with little water and fertilizer. Cow manure and mulch from wood twigs or straw are used;
- management of animals with organic hay and flours as close as possible to the farm;
- food self-production almost 100% because there are not adequate spaces for the production of flour, oil and wine that are purchased;
- the work is at Km0 because the family that runs the farm lives on site and does not have to move vehicles to work;
- furniture recovered from the former antique shop and the family-owned seaside restaurant.
The accommodations
The farmhouse has nine rooms, apartments, open-space and suites divided into two different buildings: a recently built straw house, built with solid wood beams, straw, clay and natural lime bales and a 1900 colonial villa , once a stable and then raised to a stately home, now renovated in green building.
Each room is treated in detail in the furnishings, where unique pieces of real antiques have been used, coming from the shop owned for generations by the hostess family. The warm colors of clay, wood or natural lime, combined with the harmonious arrangement of the furniture, create a romantic and suggestive atmosphere, without falling into the heaviness of the deliberately sophisticated environments.
All accommodations have a private bathroom with shower and / or bathtub and independent access to outdoor green spaces and relaxation areas.
The restaurant
One of the pillars of the farmhouse is the restaurant. The Chef with thirty years of experience, now also breeder, delicatessen and cheesemaker, always attentive to the very high quality of raw materials, has the opportunity to work directly on his own product, cured throughout the supply chain. Organic vegetables, single cheeses with raw milk and with indigenous yeasts, fresh meat and cold cuts from cows, bred free to pasture, are transformed, also thanks to the slow wood cooking, into a dinner with authentic and forgotten flavors, linked to the Ligurian tradition.
The kitchen is closely linked to what the farm and the cheese, meat and salami cellar have to offer that day.
A wide choice of interesting natural wines will further enhance your dinner, making it an unforgettable appointment.

The farm offers a space where the tensions accumulated in everyday life can be alleviated and where you can truly take care of yourself, your body or your inner world.
