Description of farmhouse
The property consists of two houses, Colonica and Vecchia Posta, restored with ancient tradition techniques and working methods and with strictly natural materials: lime, bricks, stone, wood, oil, balsams and natural waxes, some recovered from the buildings themselves. All the furnishings of the buildings are made of wood, very particular or antique, recovered and restored with care by the owners. A large tank of ozone-sterilized water, near the well at the Vecchia Posta, is reminiscent of a wash house on the threshing floor of the building and is an ideal place for a refreshing bath after a horse ride, work in the countryside or an excursion in bicycle or on foot.
The garden of aromas and the fragrant garden surround the buildings that have views of Mount Cetona, towards the plateau of Città della Pieve and the characteristic village of Monteleone d’Orvieto.
At the Osteria on the ground floor of the Vecchia Posta, dinners and excellent breakfasts can be tasted, often accompanied by indications on nutrition as needed. You can also taste some simple home cooking dishes at the edge of the water tank in front of the well, under the stars or by candlelight, enjoying the hospitality of the managers.
In the stables, not far from the buildings, monthly meetings are held for the recovery of equestrian culture, in a relationship of communication with the horse, a peculiarity of classic equitation. We organize meetings for body preparation with traditional judo method, body care with traditional Chinese medicine and rehabilitation with Feldenkreis.
