The Villa is located in an ideal position for cultural visits, even daily, to the main cities of art in Tuscany. Distances in km from: Siena 15, Arezzo 60, Florence 65, Pisa 130. The Mediterranean Sea and the enchanting seaside resorts of Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala are about 80 km away.

Trekking and Cycle Tourism
For lovers of trekking and cycle tourism there are numerous suggestive paths, dirt roads with breathtaking views ideal for excursions immersed in uncontaminated nature, far from mass tourism. In the month of November the nearby Municipality of Gaiole in Chianti, 15 km from the Villa, organizes the now famous bicycle race in period costume from the 30s called the Eroica, an unmissable event for true enthusiasts of the history of cycling.

Art, Museums and Exhibitions
The Province of Siena and Tuscany boast many internationally famous museums, where it is possible to admire works of art belonging to the Renaissance, Medieval, Ancient and Etruscan periods all year round. There are also frequent exhibitions of modern and contemporary art set up in the main cities, all easily reachable by car.

Music, Concerts and Theater
Especially during the summer period there are numerous musical and theatrical events. The world-famous Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, 15 km from the Villa, organizes concerts with its famous teachers and students from June to September. At the Cistercian Abbey of San Galgano, about 30 km from the Villa, in a suggestive medieval setting, open-air lyric operettas are held in July and August. In Monticchiello, near Pienza, 40 km from the Villa, the famous Teatro Povero is performed throughout the year in the streets of the town.

Medieval Events and Traditions
In the Province of Siena, rich in ancient history, numerous traditions of medieval origin are still present today.
The Palio di Siena, a historic joust on horseback between the Contrade, takes place every year on July 2 and August 16 in the suggestive Piazza del Campo, 15 km from the Villa; before the race it is possible to admire the medieval costumes of the Contrade during the spectacular Passeggiata Storica.
The trials for the race begin four days before the Palio, after the race everyone can freely and free of charge participate in the party of the victorious Contrada, with libations based on Chianti wine.

In Montepulciano, a town 60 km from the Villa, during the last Sunday of August the famous Bravìo takes place, a costumed race with barrels through the main street of the city. The Medieval Festival in July in Monteriggioni, a town 25 km from the Villa, is a re-enactment of medieval daily life, where it is possible to taste dishes and game cooked according to Tuscan tradition.

The Villa is located in the heart of the Chianti Senese, one of the most famous regions in the world for the production of its fine wines. In this land you can appreciate the authenticity and aroma of Chianti wine, traveling along the beautiful roads immersed in the suggestive Chianti countryside dotted with parish churches, castles and medieval villages. A few kilometers away from the Villa is the town of Montalcino, home of the famous Brunello. Furthermore, in the medieval villages and towns of the Province of Siena there are numerous village festivals that take place in the squares and streets in spring and summer.

Fairs and Markets

Weekly Market of Goods
Every Wednesday in Siena, about 15 km from the Villa, more than 500 vendors come from all over the region, especially those of women's footwear and women's clothing "Made in Italy".

Antiques Market
Every third Sunday of the month, a market with about 80 exhibitors takes place in Piazza del Mercato in Siena, about 15 km from the Villa.

Feast of San Giuseppe
On the occasion of the celebrations for the Saint, from March 19th to the beginning of April, there are characteristic stalls in via Giovanni Duprè in Siena, about 15 km from the Villa, offering delicious rice fritters and traditional handcrafted toys
