This Masseria, fortified with sea view, whose origins date back to around 1172 initially as a "defense tower" (built by the Benedictines of Aversa) then renovated and enlarged in 1856 by Raffaele Schiavoni, in a land crossroads of history and civilization.

The ancient Masseria is surrounded by splendid natural landscapes with the incredible blue of the sea in the distance that make this property a masterpiece to be discovered.

The farm has kept its history and tradition unaltered, making it its strong point.

In organic cultivation olives, wheat, vegetable garden and fruit are grown. Within its 125 hectares you can take walks in the paths on foot, by bike, do physical activity in the estates, get to the sea, it is only about 2km away.

It falls within the nature reserve of the eastern coast of Taranto. Nearby there are holm oak woods, archaeological areas, the Chidro river, the Salina Monaci, and the enchanting beaches of Punta Prosciutto and San Pietro in Bevagna.

“My husband and I stayed at this property for a week in late May. What a beautiful, welcoming, sunny environment with comfortable lodging. Fabio the manager is amazing and ready to assist you with trips, gives immediate help if there is a small problem, and is always around to ensure that you are having a wonderful time. The property is located in an area with much to keep you busy locally, others are an hour or so away by car, or you can just enjoy the property. The housekeeping is great and so is the breakfast! Don''t miss some of the local ancient towers, the towns of Manduria and Oria and definitely Salina dei Monaci where you may see flamingos. If you don''t see them, you see plants, an untouched seaside, and many birds. The Primitivo wine is to die for! And the beaches are like none I have visited in the US. You can''t make a mistake a vacation here”
