Our wines
Our farm extends over the hills around Chiusi, in the southern part of the province of Siena. These lands have been generous with wines since time immemorial, lands where wine is an integral part of a thousand-year-old tradition and culture.
In this lush context, for generations, the passion for viticulture has been the secret of genuine wines of undeniable quality.
We have always produced wine, but it is since the mid-fifties that we have made it our vocation, preparing a new cellar and starting to plant specialized vineyards to replace the old rows in mixed cultivation.
The cultivation of vines destined to produce a Chianti like ours is subject to strict rules, aimed at protecting the quality characteristics of the product.
In our vineyards, each individual vine receives the careful care typical only of the old peasant techniques: pruning, tying, hoeing, cleaning are manual; and the grape harvester discards the bunches that for some reason do not appear perfect.

The animals
Many farmyard animals live on our farm: in addition to the Cinta Senese pig farm, we have sheep, goats, rabbits, geese, ducks, peacocks, a chicken coop and a donkey.
Furthermore, on our land you can observe roe deer and fallow deer grazing freely.
It is possible to visit the stables and animal enclosures, a guaranteed fun for the little ones.

Our Cinta Senese farm
Since the early 2000s we have focused this activity on the Cinta Senese farm, delimiting large plots of woodland and arable land with appropriate fences, providing the crops most suited to the natural feeding of the pigs in the field.
The “Cinta Senese” breed owes its name to the fact that the coat is completely black, except for a conspicuous white band, which vertically affects the shoulders and front legs. The meat of the Cinta Senese, both for the intrinsic characteristics of the breed and for the type of breeding, has special organoleptic qualities. The meat is particularly tasty and has a greater consistency and a more intense color than that of other pigs.
