The house is an old barn from 1851 that was built as a shelter for animals. It was purchased in 1986 and completely renovated in 1999.

Ground floor: living-dining room with sofa bed and satellite TV; 1 double bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower. First floor: 2 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom with shower and washing machine. A few steps finally lead to the kitchen-dining room with fireplace equipped with oven, freezer, dishwasher and barbecue. The property has satellite TV and WI-FI coverage, both inside the house and in the pool area.

Just outside the barn there is a beautiful 4x10 meter private swimming pool with salt purification system and solar-heated outdoor shower. At the side of the house, in front of the spacious garden, there is also a wood-fired oven for pizzas.

In the town, Barberino Val d'Elsa, there are food shops, a small market, pharmacy, newsagent, petrol station, bars, restaurants and the bus to Florence and Siena. In Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, 2 km away, there are shops of all kinds and a street market on Thursday mornings. 10 km away, in the town of Poggibonsi, we find the train station, supermarkets and shopping centres, and a large street market on Tuesday mornings. Nearby you can go on horseback excursions with professional teachers, take traditional peasant cooking courses, and rent mountain bikes.
