Montecarlo 1666 - The village

Montecarlo, an historic, fortified town, is situated in the province of Lucca with surrounding vineyards and olive groves of about 160 hectares and with a population of about 400 inhabitants.

The antique town centre is well preserved and is surrounded by the original fortress walls and turrets.

It is built on an isolated hill top at about 160 mts above sea level and the surrounding country side is given over to the production of fine wines and olive oil.
It is only 15 kms from Montecatini Terme and 50 kms from Florence.
