Rufina 1009 is a farmhouse situated near Florence, in that valley called Val di Sieve to be more precise.
Rufina is a well-known place of the Chianti area, where a DOCG wine is produced and exported all around the world.
Spending a holiday in a farmhouse in Tuscany Italy means enjoying relax, discovering beautiful places surrounded by countryside, different culture, habits and traditions...and last but not least, tasting typical local products and recipes.
You may even choose if trying a typical Tuscan restaurant or the local recipes of the farmhouse where you're lodging, as Rufina farmhouse for example: the owners usually offers oil and typical products tasting.
But Chianti is mainly renowned for its wine, and Rufina offers a wide selection of DOCG wine for tasting...there are some saying about well-known poets and writers who were used to quote Chianti Rufina in their works, such as Montale and Pratolini, but ask the owner for telling you the story, she'll be pleased to do it.
This farmhouse with swimming pool is situated only 22 km far from Florence old city centre, which can be easily reached by bus, taxi and train, if you don't have your own car. The owner will be also pleased to suggest you all the main tourist destinations in Florence which anyone shouldn't miss, as Uffizi Gallery, Piazza della Signoria, the several museums and art exhibitions which often take place in Florence.
Since the 1st January a city stay tax has been applied. It costs 1 euro per day per person

Along with offering accommodation for guests, the farmhouse is also a farm business producing extra virgin olive oil and DOCG Chianti Rufina wine...you'll have the possibility to taste fruits from the garden as well, among which a particular kind of apple that unfortunately seems to disappear soon.
