External view of the farmhouse

Location: the farmhouse is in the archaeological area of Volterra, a small Tuscan city, province of Pisa.
The sandy terrain is incised by calanchi, areas of rapid erosion. The Balze (cliffs) to one side of Volterra are a spectacular example of calanchi.
Dipped in the countryside still unpolluted and green, the farmhouse covers 7,5 hectars and it is just 2 km from Volterra citycentre.

Description: in the 800, around the villa arises numerous constructions, many of them are still present, such as the chapel, the tinaio, the barn, the frantoio, the oven (recently restored and perfectly working), and some farmhouses.
Recently the villa has been completely restructured and subdivided into apartments.

Swimming pool

Services: beyond the ancient wall in stone many plants of tropical origin grow luxuriantly, such as banana trees, bamboos, pampas.
The swimming pool (6 x 12m max. depth 1,54 m.), near completion, is placed in panoramic and sunny position, offering amazing view of the imposing San Giusto Church (17th century).
The ancient oven, the terracotta stove and the grill, have been restored and are available for the guests.
Many lunch and relax furnished areas with tables, chairs and sun beds have been created in different corners of the garden.

Garden

Activities: orchards, olive groves and vineyards, allow to enjoy the typical products of the estate: olive oil, wine, chestnuts, walnuts and fresch fruits with with to prepare delicious jams.
The villa is surrounded from an ancient pavement in stone delimited from blooming flower-beds, pomegranates, maple trees and from a chaki tree that in autumn fills up its brunches with orange coloured fruits.
