There is so much to discover here - Volterra with 3000 years of history, from the Etruscans to the Romans through the Middle Ages up to modern times is still a lively town in the heart of Tuscany. You can go walking, cycling or riding, but also simply relax or visit famous towns nearby, such as San Gimignano (15 km), Siena (40 km), Pisa (60 km), or Florence (70 km).
Our farm offers simple but comfortable hospitality in cosy and carefully restored rooms and flats in a genuine country atmosphere. Of primary importance is that we farm our land with biological methods – the basis for slow food. Our Agriturismo Biologico Volterra 1301, meaning Organic Farm Good Air, is named after the winds especially from the nearby Mediterranean sea.
We also have a swimming pool, a short distance away (1 Km). We will be happy to let you taste our typically local products, of course obtained with biological methods, like olive oil, wine, vedgetables and special chicken, as well as lamb of the famous sheep “la Pomarancina“.
