You will find our estate about 7 km up the hill from San Gimignano in beautiful natural surroundings.
The name is of Longobardian origin and means "fortified place".In fact long ago a well protected salt route passed through the area. This very place has been dwelled in since etruscan times and apart from an etruscan tomb,the oldest building on the farm was built in the year 1200.

The estate comprises 250 acres of predominantly wood land and is situated in a nature reserve. You can go for long walks under the shadowy trees of the forest; you will find falcon and eagle nesting,you can observe muflon,stag and deer and at dawn wild boar and porcupine wander near by.
