Description

Location: the farmhouse is located on the hill of Settignano, in a protected panoramical area, which is only 15 minutes from Florence's city centre.

The villa is surrounded by the typical Tuscan countryside, dominated by olive trees, vineyards, cypresses and oak-trees. In this very countryside the ancient Florentine families had their country estates.

History: originally this residence was the property of a rich Florentine family, whose coat of arms is displayed on some of the stone walls of the villa. In the XVIII century, the villa belonged to a family allies to the great Medici. In the end it passed on to a Marquess. The villa is easy to reach because it is only 5 minutes drive from the A1 highway exit "Firenze Sud" (South Florence).

The recent restoration has maintained the original aspect of the Villa, with a high respect for the material and the colours of the florentine hills, preserving the harmony between rural countryside and modern comfort, typical for the country estates of the Florentine high society.
Accommodation: the Villa has six apartments, three of them are communicating and located in its central part.
Each flat has dishwasher, fridge, Satellite Televsion, air conditioning and heating, hair dryer, internet access (pc not provided). Each sofa can be opened as a bed.
Guests can access all the rooms on the ground floor and the basament - kitchen and canteen - for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner if booked in advance.

The original material has been maintained (stone, timbers) and the "florentine taste" has determined the choice of the furniture. A special care was dedicated to modern needs and requests. Therefore each appartment has private bathroom, hairdryer, satellite tv, buzzer, internet access, completely equipped kitchen (including washing maschine and freezer), heating and air conditioning. Guests are free to use the typical cellar in the basement for private lunches and dinners.
