Description

Locatioon: the property is located in the hills of Fiesole only 7 kms east of Florence.

It offers rooms and apartments for holiday rental, has a private pool and it is fully immersed in the greenery of the hills overlooking the Arno Valley, amidst sun-bathed olive-groves and vineyards.

Description: the farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century has been restored and now offers apartments for 2 to 6 guests. Each apartment is individually decorated, and each has a name that relates to its original function. The accommodation is comfortable, in harmony with the landscape, and perfect for guests seeking a relaxing holiday not far from Florence with its wealth of museums, galleries, Renaissance architecture and fabulous shopping.

Apartments in the farmhouse: the apartments and rooms, each with a private bathroom, were restored in 1999 respecting local architectural styles.
- All rooms have central heating and some have an open fire.
- All the apartments have heating, some have open fires, and are perfect for weekends and weeks even during the winter months.

The first floor apartments are: Sulla Valle, Sull’Aia, Al Camino, Sull’Oliveta which were originally the living quarters of the farmer. The ground floor apartments; Orciaia al Sole, Orciaia all’Ombra, Cantina al Sole, Cantina all’Ombra e Granaio were used for the various agricultural activities on the farm.

Apartments in the barn: the Fienile is the original barn and faces onto the courtyard in front of the farmhouse. The Fienile was also renovated in 1999, at which time two charming two room apartments were created. Very close to the pool, the two apartments, called respectively Fienile al Sole, and Fienile all'Ombra, each have a veranda with a table and chairs.

Facilities: a swimming pool (16 mtrs x 7,50 mtrs), panoramic on the Arno's Valley, with deck chairs and garden furnitures, perfect for lounging in the sun on hot summer days, is at Guests disposal.
A washing machine is available for the use of our guest (at an extra cost).

Tourism Tax:
From January 1st, 2012 the City of Fiesole introduced the tourism tax:
2,00 euro/night, applied to non residents staying overnight for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights in the same hotel.
The tax will be reduced to half on the 8th consecutive night.
It is not applied to children under 8 years of age.

Environs: sport and nature lovers can enjoy country walks, bike rides or even horseback riding at the riding track 9 kms away. The stunning forests of the National Park of Casentino is only 30 minutes away by car.
Florence and Fiesole are both 7 kms away, and the towns of Siena, Arezzo, Lucca area all within 45 minutes by car. The nearest village is 900 metres from the farm, and the local bus for Florence leaves approximately every 15 minutes.
