The impressive 18th. century structure includes a large country cottage which, together with the owner’s residence, seems to recreate a small agricoltural village typical of the Apennine area. The complex is located in the municipality of Apecchio ( is only 3 km), known for its fossil museum; among important city landmarks, the Ubaldini Palazzo and the famous hump-back bridge. The small agritouristic complex was once the home of several sharecropper families; the building facades are sandstone and the interiors are particulary interesting. The 3 big apartaments have been carefully furnished with beautiful period pieces to recreate the simplicity of farm life as it once was. The area is known for its many sulphuric spings, also offers various recreational possibilites: mountain-biking, Down-hill skiing, trekking and fishing. The white truffle fair and Market takes place in Apecchio at the beginning of October, an important event which offers interesting week-ends to those who attend. TheWhite truffleis abundant in the area during the truffle seasons. In the winter months, with the first snowfalls in these typical Apennine zones, guestes can go cross-country skiing in the surrounding areas, while alpine skiers will enjoy down-hill skiing runs of nearby Mt.Nerone.There are some expert guides available to take guests in to the pitcturesque grottoes of this mountain with characteristic underground lakes
