The farmstead is in the Bisenzio Valley (Prato province), at the foothills of the Tuscan-Emilian Appenines, some 400 metres above sea level.

It is situated just above the village of San Quirico di Vernio, on the road to the Mugello Valley. It takes its name from the medieval fief of Vernio, and dates back to the 15th Century.

This is an organic farmhouse, producing local delicacies such as:extra virgin olive oil, chestnut flour, wonderful honeys such as acacia, chestnut, oak honeydew,wildflower and blackberry.

The breeding concentrates on the prestigious Cinta Senese (Sienese Belted pig - a variety of saddleback), Calvana cattle and Quarter Horses – the horses of cowboys.

The farmhouse was born around the end of the 90s, with 6 independent apartments furnished in Tuscan style, swimming pool, farm restaurant, direct sales point and tasting area.

We are linked to the traditions of the territory, to genuine foods and to good company.

“Authentische und natürlich Unterkunft - Man sieht das hier viel Liebe in kleine Details gefloßen ist. Auch für unseren 11 Monate alten Sohn, war alles nötige vorhanden - Babybett und Babystuhl. Die Gastgeber waren überaus zuvorkommend, sehr freundlich, haben sich Zeit für unsere Fragen und den ein oder anderen kurzen Plausch genommen - und sprechen sehr gutes Englisch. Die Unterkunft bietet auch hervoragende Spezialitäten die man im hauseigenen Tante-Ema-Laden erstehen kann. An Tieren waren 4 Pferde, 3 Katzen, 1 Hund vor Ort - Allesamt recht freundliche Zeitgenoßen, Sorgen beim Streicheln braucht man hier nicht haben. Die Umgebung war idylisch und ruhig, um 20:00 spielt die Kirchenuhr im Tal eine wunderbare Melodie. Nachts findet man Ruhe und Erholung.”
