In the heart of the famous Sabina Hills visited by the ancient Romans, there are a variety of medieval ruins to visit such as original villages with their fortifications still intact.
One of these splendid sites is San Polo (Tarano) which was led by the Orsini family and then by the Holy See.
One can visit the Saint Peter and Paul Church dedicated to the Patron saints of this village.
There is also the St. Mary of the Walnut Sanctuary located near the center of the small town.
Numerous famous villages such as Montasola, Stimigliano, Torri in Sabina and Farfa are close by.
The Abbey of Farfa is world famous for its antique library. Vescovia, which is only a few kilometers from the farm, has an ancient Roman City Hall called “Forum Novum”.
Finally, next to this, there is the Blessed Virgin of the Praises Sanctuary with beautiful frescoes, a cathedral which has been a cornerstone of the Sabina Diocese.
