BORGHETTO
2 km from Trebisonda you can wander in this lovely cluster of old watermills, recently restored, the wheels of which are turned by the river Mincio, the single river to flow out of Lake Garda going to Mantova.
In antiquity Borghetto was site of an important toll being the first point of crossing over the river below Lake Garda. The castle and Visconti bridge overlook this rural gem.
CASTELLARO LAGUSELLO - MONZAMBANO
10 km from Trebisonda visit this historic medieval hamlet situated around a small lake ion which the remains of piles from a prehistoric settlement have been discovered.
Continuing through neighbouring Monzambano you can visit several excellent winery, taste and buy wine and get a warm and friendly welcome.

Mantova

25 km from Trebisonda is one of Italy's richest art cities. Here the Gonzaga (powerful Dukes who ruled Mantova for centuries and great patrons of the Arts) welcomed an extraordinary number of artists and stylishly embellished their small city which is surrounded by three lakes.
Visit the Ducal Palace, where you can see the Camera degli Sposi by Mantegna, and the Palazzo Te with its unique Sala dei Giganti, and the Palazzo Arco with its period furnishings.

30km from Trebisonda is the magnificent and romantic city of Verona, where there are plenty of remains that bear witness to its Roman origins. Do not miss the Arena or a night at one of its opera performances.
