Situated half way between Florence and Rome, Le 7 Camicie farm and vineyard is 9 km (5,5 miles) south of Montalcino, in the heart of the Brunello wine production area, and inside the Val d’Orcia Natural Park, which has been declared a “Humanity Heritage” area by UNESCO.
The panorama in front of you is breathtaking; it runs from Monte Amiata, an ancient volcano, and across the rolling hills of west Maremma. We have just finished a complete restoration of three 18th century stone farmhouses, creating eight spacious apartments. The apartments which range in size from 23 - 220 sq. meters [70 to 660 sq. feet], for 2-12 guests, are all sunny with panoramic views, air conditioning and Tuscan style furnishing.
The spacious bedrooms have king or twin beds, and each have their own bathroom complete with a large shower. The kitchen is integrated with the large living areas, and is complete with oven, electric stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. Each living room has Satellite TV and most of the apartments have fireplaces. Le 7 Camicie welcomes travellers with disability, and we have apartments with easy disabled access. Reserved parking and a private garden are also available for each apartment. A large common courtyard can also be freely used by our guests. All our guests have access to the shared laundry facilities and barbecue.
Le 7 Camicie has two swimming pools, a cold water, horizonless pool (11 x 4 m) with fantastic views across the Maremma countryside. The second pool is a round and contains thermal water (38 °C – 100 °F) that comes from a natural spring below the property. This pool is open all seasons and is perfect for relaxing on the cooler summer nights, and for long soaks during the winter. Le 7 Camicie is located 9km (5.6 miles) from the wonderful town of Montalcino, home of one of Tuscany, and Italy's best wines, Brunello di Montalcino. The countryside is spectacular, a mix of orderly rows of vineyards, and the rugged Siena and Maremma hills.
Seemingly isolated, Le 7 Camicie is only 1.5 kms from the nearest hill top village where you can find a charming trattoria, a well stocked alimentari, or grocery store and cafe-bar. Just down the road the stunning Abbazia di Sant' Antimo, graces the valley, and there are many vineyards where you can taste the local produce.
