Not far from the Residence “Empoli 1194” rises an ancient Fattoria with its villa and agricultural buildings on the top of a hill. Vineyards and olive groves of incomparable beauty are extending from its slopes.
The vineyards have perfect exposure to the sun and receive careful treatment leading to production of healthy grapes, in the right quantity and best quality, which is the guarantee for a wine of rare gift.
The names of the grape types which are grown at the Fattoria are Sangiovese, Canaiolo nero, Trebbiano and Malvasia bianca. San Giovese and Canaiolo grapes are used for the production of Chianti wine, while Trebbiano grapes are preferred for the production of Vin Santo of Chianti.
The construction of the wine cellar has only been completed in all its details in the last few months, but the results from production of our 1998/1999 crops has to be of very high quality.
