From Urbino, the town of Raffaello Sanzio and of the Ducal Palace commissioned by Federico da Montefeltro, it’s possible to go down to Urbania and get to Sant’Angelo in Vado a town rich in history and beautiful mosaic that is known as the capital of Truffle.
From Sant’angelo in Vado, by going upstream, they’re discovered the ancient villages of Mercatello sul Metauro, Borgo Pace and the Romanesque abbey of Lamoli, a village standing among woods and charcoal kiln on the border with Tuscany.

Caves of Frasassi: driving the road from Urbania to Umbria through the pass of Bocca Serriola, the town of Piobbico rises up; it offers very interesting places to visit like the Castle Brancaleoni, beautiful caves, and the naturalistic paths of the Mount Nerone.
Besides, an hour and a half’s drive away from Urbania you’ll have the opportunity to admire the natural charm of the Caves of Frasassi.

Assisi: running along the River Candigliano, at first you’ll encounter the beautiful landscape of the Furlo Gorge, than Acqualagna, which is the other capital of truffle, and, by following the road to Rome, the palaces and the majestic fortress of Cagli from where it’s possible to go up to the Hermitage of Fonte Avellana.
Besides, by going on some kilometres more, you’ll arrive in Umbria enjoying the well known sights of Gubbio and the spiritual atmosphere of Assisi.
