Description
The Complex
The complex, originally an old monastery dated back in the years around the 1700, has been during last years smartly refurbished, but
caring to keep the peculiarities of the old building.
It is totally embedded in a green land where sunflowers and other grains are extensively cultivated. The Trasimeno lake is quite close, no more than one kilometre away.
All flats offer a panoramical view of the surroundings.Guests can enjoy a large garden with swimming pool, barbecue, an oven (burning wood) and a room for sampling tasting.
The farmhouse has five apartments, particular care has been taken in the restoration. Terracotta floor tiles and wooden beamed ceilings help to achieve a warm atmosphere. The apartments are very well furnished in country style with furnishings which reflect another age. Every residence has its own independent entrance and central heating, a lounge, kitchenette and bathroom with shower, TV color. For the guests there are the ping pong, the barbecue, the wood-fire oven, the washing machine and the iron.
The swimming pool 14mX6m has two different depth zones, 1.3meters and 2,5 meters.
The Farm
The special local conditions of high quality agricultural land, of gentle slopes without any rough hill, of proper climate conditioned by the lake proximity, have given the local farmers the best opportunity for cultivation of both vineyards and olives.
This part of Umbria is renowned for the production of an "extravergine" olive oil, quite light and with a peculiar aroma acquired only because of the climate conditioned by the lake proximity.
The farm has an extension of 70 hectares and is mainly used to grow olives, cereals and other grains. The "Extravergine" olive oil DOP Umbria are the main products of the Farm.
