Built in the 12th century, along Pesa's river, close to Sambuca village, the mill has recently been restored following the original structure by its actual owners, the Donati family, who are curently living here. Each apartment has a private garden but guests are also invited to make use of the estate's 4 hectares of enclosed land, 1 km of river-side (with the possibility of swimming in the unpolluted river Pesa). The cheerful Donati family will show you the small museum of the Mill of the Abbott. You can also enjoy the relaxing silence of the Tuscan countryside, go trekking and biking in the area. The Tavarnelle Val di Pesa 30 is located 20 km from Florence and 35 km from Siena, an excellent position for daily visits to the most beautiful cities of art in Tuscany.
