San Gimignano 1660 - Itineraries

Vagli is between San Gimignano and Volterra.
When you look at San Gimignano arriving from Poggibonsi or Colle Val d’Elsa you will notice some hills in the background. The highest of them is called Poggio del Comune, with the San Jacopino Valley behind. Here is Vagli. Volterra is further behind.

The three provinces of Siena, Florence and Pisa converge here. It is a central area of Tuscany, quite highly populated, but unspoilt. All this makes it an ideal stage for many kinds of excursions. We prepared some itineraries you can follow on foot or on bike.
