The swimming pools are open from 1st March to 30th September.
Some residences are equipped with an outdoor barbecue. Other services: covered parking, information counter.
Events and Weddings
The farmhouse has a furnished reception room where, on request, weddings, birthday parties, ceremonies and meetings can be held. In addition to the reception room, which has table and chairs for a maximum of 200 people, an equipped professional kitchen is available.
The residence personnel do not offer catering service, but can supply the client with the names of the local companies that offer this service.
Cooking Lessons
Lessons are held on request in farmhouse's restaurant hall, just a short distance from the Torre and the Villa. A minimum number of participants are needed, to be considered according to the season and the other specific circumstances. Held by professional chefs, the cooking lessons address a different gastronomic topic each time, which ranges from Tuscan cuisine to medieval and vegetarian dishes, etc.
It is also possible, upon request, to complete the prepared dishes with wine made on the Niccolai Estate. An alternative to holding the lessons on the farm, the lessons can also be organized inside the villas.
Medieval/Renaissance Dinners
Clients can request a dinner that re-evokes the atmosphere and customs of the Medieval and Renaissance times.
For this occasion recipes from this period will be served and the waiters and cooks will be dressed accordingly.
During the dinner terracotta tableware will be used, while for silverware you will only have a wooden spoon: it is therefore necessary to use your hands to eat the meat.
But after dining you can wash them in basins filled with water perfumed with rose petals. The raw yuta tablecloth, together with the candles all help to create a truly magical atmosphere. The guests will have the opportunity to wear elegant medieval clothes, exact reproductions of those used by lords of the castles of this historic period.
An example menu:
Starters:
fruit and salad dressed with vinegar and olive oil (vinegar stimulated one's appetite and the fruit initiated digestion right away).
Second Dish:
a poor bean soup linked to the territory, whose recipe is faithfully reproduced.
Third Dish:
Roasted pork shin (1 for each person). In that period it was custom to show off one's wealth to the guests by serving large quantities of meat.
Dessert:
Baked apple chestnut cake with raisins.
The entire meal will be accompanied with gallons of red wine.
Wine Tasting
These encounters are held every week and are designed to offer a course for discovering the world of wine, by proposing the labels of the Niccolai cellar, which offer the best Tuscan products, from Vernaccia di San Gimignano, to Chianti Colli Senesi and the Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino.
The wine tasting will be held in the new wine tasting hall in a closer wine farm. All of our guests will be invited to participate.
