Sienna
Sienna

Sienna: surrounded by the olives and vines of Chianti, Siena is one of the most beautiful cities in Tuscany.
Rising up on the crest of three hills, it is run through by wide avenues and narrow alleys leading to the heart of the city, Piazza del Campo, and to all the other buildings of cultural appeal such as the Cathedral and the Spedale di Santa Maria della Scala.
Famous for its Palio, the historic horse race, Siena is also the seat of one of the oldest universities in Europe.

San Gimignano
San Gimignano

San Gimignano: the town of a hundred towers is a stop not to be missed for anyone in the area.
It was the site of a small Etruscan village in the Hellenistic period (III-II century BC) but its history began around the X century when it took the name of the Saint who was Bishop of Modena: San Gimignano, who was to save the town from the Barbarian hordes.
It expanded considerably during the middle ages thanks to the Via Francigena which runs through it.

Pise
Pise

Pise: on the right bank of the mouth of the Arno River on the Ligurian Sea. It is the capital city of the Province of Pisa. The city is known worldwide for its famous bell tower.

Florence
Florence

Florence: one of the places where art and architecture flourished most, has an incredible artistic heritage, witness to its century-old history.
Cimabue and Giotto, the fathers of Italian painting, lived here, as did Arnolfo and Andrea Pisano, the reformists of architecture and sculpture, Brunelleschi, Donatello and Masaccio, the founders of the Renaissance, and the out and out geniuses Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo.
The most famous museum is the Uffizi which contains works by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Titian and Rubens. Other marvellous art museums are the Pitti Palace, Galleria dell'Accademia and Palazzo Vecchio.
