San Casciano 172: Farmhouse description

   

The farmhouse San Casciano 172, a two-story structure featuring a wine cellar area for bottling oil, dates from the late 1700s and was built on the remains of a hunting villa from the Medici era. In WWII it served as headquarters for both the German and American armies and shows signs of bombardments from enemy forces. Swimming pool Renovated with love, the restoration (which includes an addition) has not erased the history of the villa. Signs of the tormented "past life" of the structure are visible on the iron grates, the window sills and the door jamb. Terrace Location: the agriturismo resides on 100 hectares of land and rises 300 meters from sea level.
