The green hills and splendid countryside all around are perfect for long walks, hikes, horseriding (there is a riding stables in the vicinity) and cycling on mountain bikes.

Folklore

Pomarance and Residence are only 20 kilometres away from the Etruscan city of Volterra; Larderello with her characteristic geothermical central, San Gimignano, the city of towers, the Chianti Classico area and the cities of Florence and Siena are all within easy reach, without counting all the delightful trips that can be made to the colourful and characteristic Tuscan villages in the area and the Tyrrhenian coast, only 40 Kilometres away.

Folklore
Every year, second sunday of september in Pomarance there is "PALIO STORICO DELLE CONTRADE"; in this manifestation 4 "contrade", play to win Palio with hystorical performance about historics periods or people.
