Mercatale Val di Pesa 248 (300m above sea level) is a wonderful Tuscan farmhouse that typifies true Italian country-living at its best. From here you can enjoy an amazing view on an uncontaminated green valley and admire the Chianti Classico landscape with olive trees, woods and vineyards.
It is situated 2 km away from Mercatale V. Pesa, close to the characteristic town of San Casciano, where you will find all the services, shops and restaurants.

Swimming pool

It is an ideal position to explore the Chianti Classico countryside and also to visit the inspiring cities of Florence (30 mins away), Siena and Pisa (both 1 hour away).
The relaxing and natural setting of the farmhouse will undoubtedly turn your stay into an all-pleasurable experience!
The farm has belonged to family Alfani since 1934. Together they take care of the apartments and 34 hectares of vineyards and olive groves to produce the excellent wine Chianti Classico DOCG “Black Cockerel” and a special extra virgin olive-oil.

They will be happy to provide for anything that can make your stay with them more comfortable and help you to get to know their activities in the fields and their marvellous products, offering you the possibility of guided tours to fields and cellar and wine tastings.
The farmhouse has 6 large apartments, comfortably and tastefully furnished throughout. They have been cleverly obtained restoring the old granary and old houses of the farm giving them a unique character, mantaining its original features.

Every apartment has an own entrance with a paved terrace, beamed ceilings and “cotto” floors.
An old sheep-fold is now a laundry for our guests. From one patio three steps lead up to a beautiful large swimming pool, set amidst the olive trees.
