Impruneta 1014 lies on the hills of Impruneta, a few kilometres from Florence, in an area famous for the extraordinary fertility of its soil. The vineyard covers 80 hectares, 40 of which are entirely cultivated with grapes, while the rest is dedicated to the cultivation of olives.
The agricultural tradition of Impruneta 1014 possesses age-old origins: the first accounts of this activity date back to the time of the Medicis, when the noble Ricci family, original owners of the estate, started winemaking with "Terre dei Ricci".
In 1989 the red wine "Terricci", produced primarily from Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, was included in the exclusive list of best wines of the world, published by the authoritative Californian magazine "Wine Spectator". Other wines produced by Azienda Agricola Lanciola include "Ricciobbianco", produced with Chardonnay grapes, "Riccionero", a Chianti Colli Fiorentini and a Vinsanto del Chianti.
The vineyard is also famous for its production of a highly prized extra virgin olive oil and a delicious honey. In addition to the 80 hectares in the Impruneta hills, the estate owns 14 hectares in the Greve in Chianti area, in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, where it produces the Chianti Classico called "Le Masse di Greve"Ask for availability
