Cormons 141 is located in renowned wine-growing country, the Collio Hills. This area, in the eastern part of the Friuli region of Italy, borders the Brdo Hills of Western Slovenia. Our visitors enjoy discovering the poetry of Friulian culture with its Venetian, Hapsburg Austrian and Slovenian influences. The Collio and neighbouring Brdo Hills are a glorious combination of wild spaces and tidy, small-scale agriculture. The colours of all seasons are enchanting. If you wish, bring or rent a bicycle to join many others (of all ages) who find endless miles of photogenic pleasure in lovely Friulian villages on the plains. You may test yourself on hills rising to forests of wild chestnuts, flowering meadows and ancient fortresses – Roman, Celtic, Venetian, Hapsburg. Some of them will be abandoned to you alone for the time. Churches (“Chiesas” in Italian) of every architectural persuasion are all about. Even some of the very small villages have seen the fine hand of Palladio at work.

Plunged in vineyards below hilly landscapes along the Judrio River, our farm is in the small rural ward of Giassico, part of the municipality of Cormons. The family farms an area of 10 hectares, fully dedicated to grapes for the production of our estate wines. At Cormons 141, you may taste high-quality wines and the typical food of the region. A single guiding clue – respect for our traditions – links the food, the wine and the people of Friuli. From mouth-watering soups to “Frico” (a kind of fried cheese); from world-famous prosciutto di S. Daniele to “Cotechino” (spiced pork sausage); from sumptuous strudels to gnocchi with plums and omelets with herbes, the Friuli is a unique gastronomic destination. You may enjoy fresh seafood from the nearby Adriatic or the highest quality meats and other local produce. You will discover traditional tastes and breathe a central European atmosphere that has permeated the region and sustained its varied cultures through many centuries. Our guests have described it as “a warm and comfortable experience”.

While the Friuli is an area which remains unspoiled, Cormons 141 is located close to important historical sties and famous touring destinations. Aquileia contains the best Roman ruins in Northern Italy, and lovely Grado is a seaside gem with amazing thermal baths. Hapsburg Trieste is home to fabulous Miremare Castle – a “must-see.” Nearby Cividale has Longobardic remains and “the Devil’s Bridge” -- a certain photo opportunity for your visit! -- where you will gaze in wonder up into the Julian Alps. If touring by train or automobile is in your blood, the magnificent cities of the Veneto are easily within reach: Venice, Verona, Padua and Palladio’s adopted Vicenza. Day trips can be made to Ljubljana, Slovenia, or to stunning Bled and the Triglavski Narodni Park.

If you want take few day of break you can stay here in ours comfortable rooms or apartments. Cormons 141 can provide a fine meal to groups of up to 50 persons. We can receive a maximum of 80 persons for tours of the historical village, our vineyards and cellars, with a final tasting of wines and typical local produce (Montasio cheese, salami, prosciutto San Daniele, etc.).
