My husband and I along with my sister had a wonderful stay at Castellina in Chianti. We used it as a base to explore the other Tuscan cities so we mostly day-tripped and returned in the evening to enjoy dinner at the local restaurants. The mornings were glorious with the birds singing and the vineyard workers arriving for the day.
Silvio was wonderful and even let us use his internet to do personal banking.
These farms are always difficult to find.

the facility was amazing - absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. Some of the best Chianti in "Chianti" has as much passion for his wine as he does for his accomodations.

Welcoming host. We were delighted to find that breakfast was provided. Beautiful pool. Very restful as we were only guest staying for the few nights we were here.

Absolutely wonderful! Best wedding trip ever!
Brilliant domestic olive oil and wine, friendly staff and even friendlier owner (Silvio, thanks a lot for everything again), clean accommodation and pool, best possible location for visiting all of the Tuscany. All in all we highly recommend this farmhouse and guarantee that anybody with normal expectations will have great time.

Lovely and charming Tuscan farmhouse villa
We stayed here for 3 nights in Sep 2010 and had an absolutely lovely time. Though a little hard to find (even harder at night), once you figure out the roads you realize how great it is. This is a charming old stone Tuscan farmhouse which is still an active winery. Silvio Chiostri, the owner, is incredibly helpful and generous, accommodating our late arrival, and greeting us with a bottle of his Chianti (which is stellar). We were the only guests in the whole building (off-season) which was great. There was breakfast ready in the morning for us which we enjoyed in the courtyard. The room itself was very spacious and clean. The grounds are surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, and there is a beautiful infinity pool (though too cold for us to use it.) Location-wise, this villa was perfect. Situated about half-way between Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti, it is 60-90 minutes south of Florence, 40 minutes north of Siena, and about 30 minutes from San Gimignano, all of which we visited on day trips. And a very good value, only 68 euros a night! Our only regret is that we could not stay longer!
This is not really a negative, but you must have a car if you are gong to stay here. No internet access.

Really lovely place to relax and enjoy the wonderful landscape, wine and food.Excellent for a big group with children if you book the main house. All the rooms are equally nice.

Owner was very helpfull. The villa was surprisingly over our expectations. Big and comfortable for a group of 9 adults,3 girls and a baby.
The landscape is beautifull. Close to reach the highway and supermarket.

Good but wished I had more information from the start.
The surroundings were breath-taking and the atmosphere is extremely casual and welcoming. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious.
The fattoria is down a twisty road with a very steep and difficult turn onto from the main road. The owner was not there when we arrived making our transition into vacation difficult. Also, don't expect him to tell you about wine other than his own. Visit the tourism office in Castellina for best wine touring options.

Sted som egner seg for større grupper
Pene rom, godt utstyrt kjøkken, hyggelig vert. Egner seg veldig bra for storfamilier på tur.
Litt språkproblemer ved ankomst (vert var ikke tilgjengelig da). Tror utleier har hatt tidligere negative opplevelser med leietakere, var veldig mange "ikke gjør det og det i leiligheten". Litt omstendelig leieprosess.

Wonderful!
We had a wonderful stay at this place. The owner was very nice and took the time to show us how he makes wine. We were traveling with four adults and one 2 year old. We got an apartment that was perfect for our group. The owner worked with us in advance to set up the rooms the way we needed them. The location is great right in between all the Tuscany sites, which made it great for day trips. It was also nice to come back at the end of the day and have our own kitchen to cook family meals.

Flott utearel og baseng. Stedet ligger landligt, men sentralt i forhold til kjente steder og byer i Toscana. Historisk hus med vinproduksjon på gården
Det kom ekstra kostnader i sluttoppgjøret som ikke tydelig frem i beskrivelsen over betingelsene

Stone structures are full of history and owners very personable.
Loved waking up to rows of grape vines and staying in the old stone building above the wine production. Terrific tour by host of winery.

Week in Tuscany
Beautiful setting, spacious, well equipped apartment, delightful owner, beautiful views, centrally located, great place!
The only negative is the long unpaved driveway up to the house which at night can be a bit difficult to negotiate.

This was our first stay at an agriturismo, and we loved it. The owner invited us to join him at the olive pressing mill for the first press of the season. We were honored to be able to participate in such a nice family tradition.
This is a very convenient location for all Chianti destinations. Our apartment above the winery was lovely.
I was a little confused by the descriptions and photos of the various rooms on the website.

The owner was not in the house when we arrived and had issues with his cell phone so we were not able to reach him. We waited for 2 hours and almost went to stay in another agriturismo. Eventually he called us and after that we had a wonderful time. The house is absolutely incredible and the views are magnificent.
Beautiful house, very clean, original antique furniture.

Moustiques venus d'Afrique pas prévus au programme nous obligeant à rentrer à l'intérieur dès 18h. Si problème non résolu, nous ne reviendrons pas tant qu'ils seront là malheureusement.

Nice people and wonderful accomodations
We rented the main house--comfortable, clean, relaxing. The pool was great and the owner (Silvio) and staff were very nice.
You must have a car as you are in the country--not a negative but a necessity.

We have been twice now but both times the owner has been very slow returning deposit. unfair charges for poor plumbing which we got the blame for.(i am a plumber there was a fault with the main drain- fell on deaf ears nothing you can do when owner has your deposit.) Broken fridge in which we wasted alot of food for 13 people. Also charges per dust bin bag deposed! (OVER 200 EUROS FOR WASTE)
The house is a self catering house so the guests have got to throw the rubbish in the public dustbin, but when they don't make this operation and leave the rubbish to the ground, with the animals that to tear the bin liners scattering dirt everywhere we think to remove the rubbish and to clear the site, in that case we exact a contribution in money for the behaviour of the guests. This group was composed of 13 people and every day leaved a lot of rubbish outside and we every morning had to remove it and to clear and to disinfect all the zone. The cautionary deposit is normally returned in full to the client at the end of the holiday period less any deductions made for any damages and any extra expenses incurred during the holiday with the exception of these two cases: a. In particular cases, to verify the exact costs of the of the damages b. If there is a departure between 20.00 - 8.00, the cautionary deposit will be held back. The cautionary deposit is sent back by transfer bank, after the property has been checked by the owner. In this case the group had 5 babies 1 – 4 yars old and on twelfth day of stay clogged a washbasin. The plumber that we called to repair found a block in the drain due to the Plasticine of their children that we found also everywhere inside and outside the house (that time we took twice time to clear the house). So we kept deposit to pay the repair, when the plumber came, after several days, we paid him 66,00 euro and then we return our guests the deposit less 50 Euro, independent of the damage caused the following group that had a discount to have less a bath room.

B&B in a vineyard This is a working vineyard with a large old stone structure converted to a B&B. Facilities are normal B&B, nicely appointed and very clean, with some historical touches in the common areas. When the owner is available (not working in the vineyard) he is very friendly and provides useful list of stores, restaurants, and sights in the area. His staff are available at breakfast. Guests can use the kitchen tools and refrigerator, but cannot cook (apparently for insurance reasons).

Nothing important, but several km from the nearest village. It can be a bit difficult to find the first time if not familiar with the area.
