External view of the villa Description: the structure is a typical Tuscan olive mill build around 1600 on the banks of a small stream and surrounded by woods and olive groves. The old channels which used to bring the water to the mill are still visible and the old millstones are on display in the garden. In essence it is a small hamlet with 3 other houses used by the owners and the house personnel. External view of the villa Environs: from the house it is easy to reach the coast (La Versilia), Lucca, Pisa, Florence and other art cities as well as the nearby region of Garfagnana with its lakes and wild reserve L’Orechiella, the waterfowl and WWF oasis at the lake of Massaciuccoli and several other sites known for their natural and artistic beauty.
