Picturesque accommodations in the heart of Tuscany
This was a great base for our explorations of the Chianti area of Tuscany. Franco was very accommodating, giving us recommendations for day trips before and during our stay. It was also very nice to have access to the two washing machines - they weren't too difficult to figure out. It was also surprisingly quiet considering there were other guests on the property.
Coming from California I was expecting a bit more in terms of wine tasting in this region and wish I would have done more research on this. Also, beware of the safety cameras all around Chianti while driving. It helps to have GPS so you know when you are approaching one.

Our 4th Romantic Vacation to Italy....."The Best Yet".
The "Highlight" of our trip in Italy was our stay at this property.Our highest praises to the most gracious hosts..."Sylvia and Franco". Both were extremly accomodating and the facility and the fantastic scenery were all above our greatest expectations. We thorougly enjoyed our first experience at staying at a Agriguriturismo Facility...5 Star for the both of us.
Absolutely none....we had prepared our trip with detailed maps of the area and the instructions from Franco made the journey from Rome extremely easy.

Great location for touring Tuscany
Located about half way between Florence and Siena, this location allows easy access to those cities and the hill towns of Tuscany.

Wish we stayed longer !!
This place is perfectly located for touring Toscana. We had our best night sleep in Italy at this property, located alone on a top of a hill, offering wonderful views on wine and olive cultures. We used our kitchenette every day, well equipped with everything you need. Beautiful pool with plenty of space for all guests to relax in a private space. Best deal for the buck in our entire stay in Italy. We will come back for sure !
The only negative point: we should have stayed a week, instead of two nights only.

A spectacular view atop rolling vinyards and olive groves wonderfully accomodating and informative hosts Silvia and Franco. I would recomend this as a great value and accomodation

Relaxing views everywhere! Sylvia and Franco were wonderful.
The owners were very helpful with maps, directions, etc. The views and relaxing on the patio out by the pool was so nice. We enjoyed being able to cook some meals and get to so many hill towns from our location.
The kids wished we had internet in the apartment.

owners were extremely helpful with suggestions for our day trips in the area. The hilltop countryside was spectacular and most of the time we could find our routes to the next destination without too much trouble
loved grocery shopping in the nearby town - seven little shops to get all of the items on our meal plan list
The kitchen could have had more appliances and serving dishes as we liked cooking in at least once a day either breakfast or supper.

Wonderful location with plenty of activities for children. This isn't luxury accommodation but it's not luxury prices and the location and views will be hard to beat

Heaven on a Hill
Gazing at Tuscany from one side of the pool at Castellina in Chianti 45 never became old. Our hosts were a very warm and accommodating couple, who put their all into what they do. This was our favorite place to stay.

Wonderful Accommodation
This accommodation was lovely and the owners were very kind. In fact, the house was even nicer in person than it seemed on the website. There was a pool, laundry, ping-pong table and small "library". We woke up to lovely panoramic views of Tuscany each morning. It is set in the heart of the Tuscan countryside near many vineyards.
I have nothing negative to say except that wifi would've been a plus. The owners were kind enough to let us use their computer though.

Perfect place to stay in Chianti
The place was even better than the photos. We were welcomed by Franco and Silvia with maps of the area and suggestions of places to go. They even offered to book reservations for us! The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Each night after touring around we would come back to the place for a swim, make our dinner in the kitchen in our room and then eat it out on the patio by the pool while watching hte sunset - it was absolutely perfect! Lots of little wineries to visit in the area which was perfect!

The place is really nice and clean. It provides a great number of facilities (laundry, BBQ, Pool, kitchen, etc). The owners are kind and really dedicated to the visitors (many thanks to Silvia!). We got many useful touristic infomation (how to move from one place to the other, where to eat, must to see places, where to kind parking in Firenze, etc... )... the only negative side is about the way to get to this place: very difficult to find. Please provide more detailed information on how to get there on Agritourismo.net web site. Otherwise, we could have wish to stay there longer ! Wonderful place.

So friendly, so relaxing, so good with a baby!
Very helpfull and nice owners, clean beautifull pool, great view, nice bright appartments, a big pile of magazines avalible, spacious terrace, babybed and chair avalible, good hiking in the area, lots of infant-toys around.

Franco and Silvia were so much friendly and nice. The appartment was very comfortable and it was such a pleasant surprise to get a bottle of home wine in the first evening when we arrived.
Best value for money you can find in this region. Very beautiful location. Franco provided with all possible information about nearest places and markets. Every appartment has it's own terrace with a wonderful view.

Wonderful relaxing vacation
Accommodations were great, Franco and Sylvia were very helpful. Franco gave us easy to follow directions to local towns and cities, including where to park, which bus to take to Florence, recommendations for restaurants and nearby markets for food, etc. Can't say enough about their hospitality.
Washing machines were available but no dryers. Clothes had to be dried on a rack in the sun (only a problem on rainy days)

Bajeczna lokalizacja, o co w tym regionie nietrudno, ale sympatyczny właściciel dobrze radzący sobie z angielskim, witający butelką wina i mnóstwem przydatnych wskazówek to już chyba ponad zwykły standard. Jedzenie w gospodzie obok po prostu fantastyczne - menu ustalane z właścicielem. Szczególnie polecam niedzielny wieczór (ciężko się załapać, ale atmosfera niepowtarzalna!).
Włosi chyba nie kochają zbytnio internetu - praktycznie nie miałem dostępu (nawet w hotelu w którym wcześniej się zatrzymałem) - ale w tych okolicznościach to nie problem, przynajmniej dla mnie.

Une halte très agréable en plein Chianti. Le site est très beau et la vue sur les collines merveilleuse. Le logement est spacieux et bien agencé. Il y a une salle de jeux pratique en cas de pluie. L'accueil est sympathique et tout est fait pour un excellent séjour. Une adresse à recommander sans réserve !

Delightful stay on a gorgeous Tuscan hill top in comfortable quarters with an attentive couple as hosts.
The Sunday night pizza party offered by our host couple Silvia and Franco was a wonderful way to settle in and become acquainted with the other guests -- among them Dutch and Irish families with young children and an older Italian couple who'd been coming there for years.
It's a hill top site, there are several levels, some stairs are steep and it can be challenging for the mobility-impaired.

Directions were very confusing as to location hard to find , there needs to be better signage and a map given when booking,unless you speak italian it is very hard to find,and a little out of the way to most of tuscanys hill top towns.A little pricey for location,,nothing around except a restaurant that isn't open all the time.

Castellina in Chianti 45 is a beautiful spot in a wonderful, scenic area. The accomodations are very nice. Unfortunately, the owners do not speak any English. The son who lives in Rome and does speak English did all the correspondence (internet) for his father.
My travelling companion became ill during our stay and the owner and his son (who was visiting fortunately) were very kind and helpful. I really wish we had been healthier and could have spent more time here. We didn\'t see as much as I\'d hoped.
The site is very difficult to find so the owner meets you in town to lead you home. Since he doesn\'t speak English and I did not have a cell phone to contact him, we had a problem connecting.

The son who lives in Rome and does speak English did all the correspondence (internet) for his father" The owner, Franco, lives at Borgo Sicelle with his family (wife-Silvia- and 2 daughters), they speak english. 2-"The site is very difficult to find so the owner meets you in town to lead you home. Since he doesn\'t speak English and I did not have a cell phone to contact him, we had a problem connecting " He didn't meet you in town to lead our home.When you arrived Silvia met you at Borgo Sicelle and showed you the apartment, you told her about your companion ill in Arezzo hospital and Silvia told you the best directions for Arezzo 3-"I mentioned to the son that doing the deposit by wire is difficult and expensive from the states. They would be better off using paypal". On the reservation we requested the payment by credit card and no by wire.
We used credit card details for guarantee only and you paied total price when you left. Regards.

Wonderful holiday!
The owner was a wonderful host and the house and surroundings were wonderful. We made many day trips and had excellent experiences in the small towns and villages in the region. We bought our food at the excellent markets and had relaxing meals surrounded by the views of Tuscany. Great place to visit!
The kitchen was a bit sparse, but had all the really necessary things, including a mocha coffee maker. Internet access would have been helpful.

Endroit calme, bien entretenu, avec une vue superbe, notamment de la piscine plutôt agréable. Appartement très propre et plutôt confortable. Propriétaires sympathiques, parlant anglais et un peu français, restant disponibles malgré un travail important. Emplacement géographique idéal au sein même du chianti, tout proche de Florence et Sienne
Appartement comportant 2 chambres spacieuses mais pas de salon, au 1er étage sans terrasse ni balcon ce qui reduit la possibilité de manger facilement à l'exterieur (mais c'est quand même possible au rez de chaussé). Cuisine propre mais assez petite manquant un peu d\'aménagement (pas de four ni de cafetière électrique, frigo un peu petit).
Site éloigné du village (5 kms) obligeant à prendre son véhicule pour faire la moindre provision.

My second visit to this place. The location is very central, with good access to the Firenze-Siena Highway. Accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the owners are always very friendly and helpful.
Good location, great views of Chianti hills. Comfortable, clean rooms.
Owners should consider offering a simple breakfast for visitors.

Courtyard setting. Location - lovely views over the valley, especially at sunset. Well placed for local hilltop villages. Friendly & family run. The pool deck is immaculately clean and very welcome on hot sunny days.
Ceiling fans instead of a/c which sometimes barely kept the temperature bearable. Far away from the nearest village to make a car a necessity (Which can also be a good thing)

Castellina in Chianti 45 nous a laisser le meilleur souvenir de notre séjour en Toscane. L'endroit est assez "sauvage" pour être au calme, et en même temps à proximité de deux grandes villes qui sont Sienne et Florence, ainsi qu'une multitude de beaux villages. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et disponibles. A conseiller sans réserve.
Castellina in Chianti 45 est l'endroit rêver pour le repos grâce au calme, la nature, sa vue imprenable, mais aussi pour l'aspect culturel par rapport à sa situation géographique au coeur de la Toscane.

The surrounding countryside was beautiful and the accomodations very clean and comfortable.
You need to have better email directions to the farmhouse as we had some difficulty finding it coming from Sienna.

Far more beautiful than the pictures or description could describe. Absolutely everything about this place was amazing -- the owners, the grounds, the room, the amenities. We simply could not have asked for more than enjoying the sunset looking out over the hills of Tuscany each night at this property. Daily, my wife and I long to return!

Located very well in Chianti, close to eberything but in the middle of nowhere too! great pool, sunsets, church and restaurant across the street.Nice people.Classy but relaxed. I would stay there again!

We were very pleased as to how well the accommodations matched what we saw on the internet. The location was great - right in the heart of the Chianti region. Close enough to both Siena and Florence to allow day trips to those locations as well as to others (Pansano (sp?), Greve, and San Gimignano).
Location, accomodations, hosts were helpful in providing directions and suggestions as to where to eat.

Notre séjour a été très plaisant. Le paysage qui entoure Castellina in Chianti 45 est à couper le souffle. Le propriétaire nous a informé sur les centres d'intérêts prenant place dans les villages autour et nous a même fait cadeau d'une bouteille de vin. La chambre avec cuisine répondait parfaitement à nos attentes et l'environnement est calme.

This is a beautiful location. The owners were very helpful and provided much information about the local area. Our check-in was ready for us when we arrived, and the maps and the information about getting to and parking in Florence were invaluable.
This property was a wonderful location to rest, to enjoy the surrounding countryside, to use as a jumping off point for many other places nearby. Florence, Siena, San Gimignagno were all just a short drive away.
If you wish to prepare your own meals, especially breakfast, be advised that the closest grocery store is several miles (or kilometers) away.

Castellina in Chianti 45 was a wonderful spot to spend a week. There were good restaurants near by and a bar right across the street. The country side was quiet, and had beautiful views of the Tuscan country side surrounded by vineyards. We would go back in a moment.
The land lord and his wife were most accommodating. They were helpful with directions, market days and what to see. They even set up a private tour to their uncle's winery and estate which was one of the highlights of our trip.

A picturesque Tuscan residence.
The location is ideal. It's quiet, has a spectacular view of Tuscan rolling hills, yet it's a convenient drive to Siena, Florence, and dozens of darling Tuscan towns. All amenities (laundry, pool, ping pong, full kitchen, etc.) are readily available.

A beautiful, quiet oasis in Chianti
It had lots of amenities (games, etc), beautiful grounds for viewing sunsets, washing machine.
A little tricky to find, but worth the effort.

Es war dort sehr ruhig und Idyllisch, man konnte super entspannen.
Es war ein kleines Anwesen mit sehr netten anderen Gästen. Man konnte die Gegend besichtigen und sich den Rest der Zeit enspannen.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit einem Traumblick über die Landschaft
Die Lage ist einzigartig, die Apartements sehr geräumig, sauber mit allem, was für ein Aufenthalt erforderlich ist. Swimmingpool, Liegestühle - sehr gepflegt.
Es gibt nur bei wenigen Apartements Balkone/Terasse - dafür kann man im Gemeinschaftsbereich am Pool sehr schön sitzen. Ein Auto ist absolut erforderlich, da Alleinlage!
