I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the owners of Laterina for their hospitality & Italian love. This husband and wife team love what they do and it shows inside and out. The home was the most well equipped one we stayed at in all of Italy. The linens were Italian, the kitchen had EVERYTHING we could possibly need and more, the bathroom had complimentary olive oil guest soaps and we had a wonderfully maintained pool and laundry facility. Owners were knowledgeable and helpful on the local on-goings, wine, honey & olive oil tastings at local farms. The owner took us to the neighboring sheep milk cheese farm which produced the finest ricotta cheese I have ever tasted in my life; had it for breakfast with honey and or peach jam. Owners were open and free in giving us directions which were always accurate and made recommendations to see the lovely mid-evil hilltop villages for which Tuscany is known for. The experience here was most welcomed after 4 weeks in other large and big Italian cities. In Laterina you hear the crickets chirping at night and that is all. Music to my ears. No noise. At Laterina our family finally relaxed and slept well. Laterina is not very close walking distance to stores. Bring your car and bikes. Other than that, this is the perfect place for anyone who wants to experience real Tuscan and to relax and live just like a local. Annamaria & Georgio....we miss you!!!! We will come back again we promise!

Anna and Giorgio and this place was just fantastic. We were two families meeting in Tuscany - we each had our own "house" and shared BBQ, pool, kitchens, etc.
We felt very welcome and anything we needed was taken care of. It's a great base for exploring the area. The kids loved it too.
Nothing to complain about.

Neat, clean & very well organized
Full kitchen, attentive hosts with plenty of information, recommended great restaurants & made reservations; free laundry; provided towels & sheets. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine & olive oil & luxuury bathroom products. Yhe hosts went out of their way to provide useful info on shopping, visiting sites, driving directions, everything we needed; including a cable to connect camera to PC!

Surpassed our wildest dreams.
Anna & Giorgio are friendly and gracious.They answered all our questions, planned our sightseeing trips including a wonderful long weekend in Venice & Padua & the apartment was faultless in all aspects. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and varied.Access to the regional train for day trips is a great option for a stress free day.

A relaxing holiday
The area is beautiful and very quiet,the scenery and wildlife surrounding the appartment were wonderful.The appartment was well equiped and very clean.The garden was well thought out and although shared with other guests everyone had their own private area.The swimming pool was very clean and the bbq area was very useful.

Nice stay except for no hot water.
Quiet, peaceful retreat. Comfortable apartment. Nice pool.
No hot water in unit. Asked for it to be repaired on day 2. Owner came to fix it on day 4 - claimed it was fixed but wasn't. Gave us a key to another unit in building on day 5 - no hot water there either
We were very sorry about what happened to Mr Dannock, it was the first time, and luckily the last time that such occurence happened.Unfortunantely my husband does not speak English ( I was not there) and since day two he was trying to understand the reason why that problem had occurred.He could not communicate clearly with the guest and we are sorry he made it seems he did not care, while he was indeed trying to find out the origin of the problem.
At last he found out that the damage was caused by a lot of limestone that had clogged the heating system. Unluckily it was discovered after some time. Anyway we do maintenance works to the house all the time and since then we changed all the heating systems plus the pipes, and we have added a water sweeeter to prevent all pipes from getting clogged. Hot water now is available all the time.

Vermisse es seh
Wir hatten die ganze Anlage (3-4 Familien Wohnunge/Gebäude) nur für uns alleine gehabt, weil es Ende September war. Wir hatten auch Scwimmbad für uns. Wir hatten auch die sehr nette Bekannschaft von der Bsitzern gemacht. Die waren sehr leib und Hilfbereit und sehr geselig. WIr vermissen die so sehr.
Die Anlage war als wir da waren (Sept 2006) nicht geiegnet für die jenigen die Angst vor Ínsekten haben. Täglich müssten wir die ganze Wohnung sprayen und Morgens die tote Insekten (ziemlich viele )von Boden fegen,und weg werfen. Vielleicht gehört das Problem jetzt zu vergangenheit.
